Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama said the arrangement of Bukit Duri, South Jakarta is applied for the riverbank area only. It is similar with arrangement in Kampung Pulo, East Jakarta.

According to him, the relocation is aimed to normalize Ciliwung river since the citizens occupy riverbank and inspection road.
No Postponement for Bukit Duri Controlling“Area that will be arranged is the occupancy spot,” he added.
Basuki continued that normalization is also aimed to minimize flood in Jakarta since the Ciliwung river width has decreased.
The relocation is still waiting the Rawa Bebek flat construction to complete. It is already entering the finishing stage.
